It's basically a deep picture frame, you could attach the shell inside.
Like this:

Or this: it's a how to!

Ahhh, i just unpacked my crafting and art supplies and now I want to make one too. You can make one to custom fit your shell if you can't find one in stores, here they're available at framing and crafting places. If you seal it up really well it also helps preserve the contents. Enjoy! :D

You should never peel the scutes off your RES. The scutes fall off eventually. By pulling the scutes, you risk damaging the new layer. The worst case is exposing the bone layer. It could also be very painful for the turtle.
RES - Ramen <f> (51/4")
RES - Heine <f> (43/4")
Asian Leaf Turtle - unnamed <m> (53/4")

@lileeli ...NO!! Don't ever do that!! just be patience and let it fall off by it self.

Kame's shedding process took months to finish but I'm glad to see my patience paid off as she has great scutes now.

It's not good that his arm looks like a large Reptomin pellet.

@DB's Slider > Thanks :) The face off was my 1st try. Will do more in the future. I'm thinking Godzila.

@Jaysea Thanks :)

@Steve hahaha Kroten is a giant turtle needs to be tamed. I think she is considering whether to eat his arm or not
