Just got three baby turtles yesterday from the North American Reptile Breeders Conference. Two red ear sliders and one Yellow belly. They seem to be healthy and active, enjoying their new home. They like to bask and chill in the tank! Unlike other turtles that i've read about, they all ate pellets the first day they were here :)

The yellow belly is named Waffles, the slider basking with Waffles is Red and the one on the plant is Heisenberg :) they are in a 55 gallon tank, will upgrade to 150 - 200 gallon next year once they start getting bigger.

I went to a local petstore here and got this piece of driftwood. I am going to boil it and soak it in water for a week or two and attach two ceramic tiles after leveling the two tops to make one shallow water and another regular dry basking platform.

Are you using any substrate in the tank? What kind of filter do you have?

I just got river rocks today I picked out the broken pieces and smaller ones so my turtles wouldnt try to eat them. i'm going to use that as a substrate. My rena xp3 leaked we talked in the other thread about it. I just got another one in the mail today, I've been doing 75% water changes every 48 hours for now going to set everything up tomorrow

Make sure the seal is seated properly... a minor shift would allow room for a leak.
