Just got a new tank, 220g... I have 2 RES and one is not so nice to the other so i am creating a tank divider. The divider itself will be plastic ( http://www.homedepot.com/p/t/202653781? ... 202653781# ) ... And the liner to hold the plastic will be aluminum angled rods ( http://www.homedepot.com/p/Everbilt-3-4 ... 100338033# ) silicon glued to the tank. This way the plastic can slide in and out of tank. My question is, is the aluminum in the water safe for the turtles? And is the plastic going to be safe as well?

Thanks! Any advice is very appreciated.

The plastic light diffuser is safe but it's best not to use any metals in the tank.

What kind of dimensions are you looking for? I think a lot of people just use zip ties to hold it down.

There are tons of plastic c channels available. Do a Google search or check with a lumber yard/Home depot etc.
