I put river rocks up in the basking area. It isn't completely covered but it is not as bare as before.

As you wish

Ok, what you are seeing is where we are so far.

Added the second fx6, one on either end.
Added Circulation pump, Maxi Jet 1200, right end
Added 200# of white sand.
Added Various plants of different color and sizes to add color
Added a 12"x 12" x 9" hand made rock cave.
Added a second 300 watt Ehiem Jager heater, bought a third as a spare, its under the stand as a backup.
Added a mega ray 100 w light on the right, the old light we had is on the left.
Added, 2 sheets of acrylic as tank covers on either end of the condo as covers.

Whats coming next.

Switching out the acrylic .08" as the covers to .472" because the thin ones bow under their own weight.

Then we are going to add let lights to either side of the condo, currently looking at 2 24" marineland ones

Adding a mat, moss or grass to the surface of the basking area to make it more natural, then going to add fake vines around the inside to give them some privacy

Also still need to add the water line to fill the tank with after water changes. I will probably go ahead and plumb in a house filter too.

Looks great! Maybe add a background. The cave is nice, does it go all the way through?

Lol Kansas, there are 2 fx6's. The cave doesn't go all the way through. It is natural rock from lowes on 3 sides. Hand made, took about a week to construct.

Steve are you suggesting a background for the tank or the condo? I've never had any luck with them.

The tank, just a simple background -- something to just hide the wires. I think I've seen some use wrapping paper.

You can also paint the back of the tank. My 40 gallon is painted black with white sand substrate. Really makes the sand stand out.

What kind of paint? I would think that if it were temporary, you'd want something that was easy to clean up.
