I think the Belize slider has one of the most amazing shell patterns, she definitely doesn't disappoint!

I think most should be this color, though male terrapins have a tendency to become melanastic.

You can upload through the site or use a 3rd party site to manage/host for you. I'd recommend www.imgur.com or this site, just do this

Full Editor -> Upload Attachment -> Choose File -> Add the File

The2ladybug, are you sure yours is a Belize Slider, not a Red Eared Slider? And the colors usually dull with age.

I'm having problems uploading a photo.. The only other way to show you a pic for now is on the Turtle Shack website, he's listed under Peacock slider.. His colors were vibrant but they're fading now & although hes eating & active, Im concerned for his health thats why im curious. His tanks is big enough for him & I have a basking light & uvb light i uses eery other day ( i have yet to buy the uvb bulb its own lamp) and feed him calcium on his mealworms the days he doesnt have uvb bulb

I've seen several posts where belize sliders were the more common name for peacock sliders.. I havent been able to find much info on either though

Yea that's a Nicaraguan Slider, not a Belize Slider. They need a heat lamp and UVB light everyday or they will die. Water needs to be kept warm as they are tropical. Around 75. Stop feeding mealworms, switch to turtle sticks.

They get a lot bigger than Belize Sliders.

Use this (as they have the same care): http://www.austinsturtlepage.com/Care/c ... slider.htm

Thank you! I finally got a good paycheck this week so I bought a lamp for the uv bulb, so now he has both the uv & basking light at the same time! He refuses to eat any turtle sticks. Believe me, I. Have. Tried. He enjoys his shrimp & meal worms. What fruits & veggies have yall had success with?

Only feeding him shrimp will disfigure him.
