I got a new turtle today that's a little bit older than my other two, but is also half the size. The little turtle is being really aggressive towards the other two, meaning biting them in the neck and feet, constantly chasing them and snapping. I'm not sure what to do. They aren't biting back, they are just swimming away. They don't have any major injuries, but they do have minor ones. I read that they could be fighting because of lack of space, but they are in a pretty big tank. Please help!!!

Sometimes, big tanks make it worse. If you have no more room for a new tank, you will probably need to re-home it (or return it, if you got it from a store). These things tend to escalate, and you don't want to wait and then have serious injuries and/or deaths on your hands. Plus, bullied turtles may go off-feed. At the very least, see if you can find an extra aquarium around and stick the aggressor in there.

That's scary! I've read that if a turtle lives by itself for more than a year, it's pretty much a nightmare trying to get it to coexist with another turtle. They recognize the tank as their domain. Especially if you feed them live prey. The new turtle might have had an experience where it got accustomed to owning it's domain, and the new turtles are more accustomed to sharing - that's why they aren't fighting back and are just fleeing.

But like Jeremiah said, they can stop eating after getting bullied too much. Be careful!

I'm not sure thats true -- each RES has their own personality. Males and some females will have to be separated no matter what.

Pay more attention to the aggressive turtle. He might feel so loved that he forgets to attack the other turtles.

No cure for aggression. you'll have to split them up into their own tanks.
