Plexi glass / lexan can be cut almost like glass ! Instead of a glass cutter you use a "utility knife" with a good new sharp blade score it the same as glass bring it to edge of a table and pop it off. Very easy and factory clean edge. Little practice then you got it ! Saws work but with the heat ( even a hand saw ) that builds up it's a rough edge , like it bubbles up. Having the correct "tooth count" on the blade help's too. A blade with " #80" count work's well for me too ! An old trick for a cleaner edge is to put tape on both sides then cut with a saw for a cleaner edge but not as straight and clean as a utility knife. You don't need a fancy one a 99 cent one does well it's having a sharp blade that does the scoring.
If you do it a lot you can tell by feel and sound it's scored good . If not sure make several passes on plexiglass for a good score then snap it off. Lots of info with pictures and or videos for help you can google for a few more tricks.
