Habitat - Indoor :: Small gravel

Turtle tank setups and other indoor configurations.

My male RES is 5 inches. I use very small gravel (0.12 inches). Can this size of gravel use impaction? Thank you for the help :)

Small amounts no, but if your turtle eats enough of it then yes. More likely he will eat more than you think.

Hi Steve! Thanks for your reply. I am ordering sand today then. I've read that sand is safe/safer :)

It is, but the same thing can happen. Many of us keep bare tanks, but sand does look great and usually works well.
