Hi,

I got two red-eared sliders a week ago and they haven't been eating.

The water temperature is around 70*F and they have been basking quite often.

I bought Tetra ReptoMin Baby Floating Food Sticks for my turtles, tried feeding them in the water and when they're basking but they're not interested in the food and they don't even take a bite.

In addition to that, I'm also a bit concerned about the back of their shell, this is my first time having turtles as pets so I really can't tell if they're shedding their scales or if there's a fungal infection.

1) One of my turtles has dark spots on its back since it I bought it and there are tiny white spots too.

2) The other turtle doesn't have the dark spots but there are more white spots and the shell looks like it's shedding.

Please help! Thanks in advance!

Some of it looks like shedding, I don't recognize any shell rot. The water could be a little warmer. How long have you had them?

OK, it's just something to keep an eye on. Right now, concentrate that they are eating (but not overfed), and that their habitat is safe for them.

Any tips on how I can get my turtles to eat? Because ive been using tweezers to hold the food in front of them but they won't even bother tasting the food. Left the food in the tank but they don't even touch it either. There's also a basking area set up in the tank with a bunch of smooth rocks and they love hanging out in there.

Best to give them some privacy when they are adjusting. Have you tried live food (minnows)? I'll sometimes use white chicken meat or some tuna fish. A week of not eating is a long time for a hatchling.
