Taking care of your turtle's overall health.

I have previously housed both turtles in the same tank. Yesterday I noticed a white spot on one of them and immediately removed it from the tank into another container. I gave it some betadine, left it dry for 15 min and then put some 1% clotrimazole anti fungus cream over the entire shell. I put it back into the container with about 2cm of water. Today I repeated it but dry docked the terrapin for 10 hours.

I checked the other terrapin and am unsure if it has shell rot too. Attached are pictures of them. Also, can I check if I’m doing the right thing for them?

Their tank initially had a filter and basking area and UVB+UVA light. I’ve included a picture of the tank set up as well. Thank you everyone!

Is it the discoloration? It and the previous spot are probably not shell rot. Did you get a picture of that?

I have another picture taken when I removed it from the tank for feeding. The white spot is quite obvious here https://imgur.com/gallery/vJpa9Wc

From that pic, it looks more like fungus. They grow fast, so aggressive treatment is warranted.

I would try the Clotrimazole for another treatment or two, but silver sulfadiazine is usually the most effective.

They still have shell I guess, it is still visible on those photos.
