Hi there turtle friends!

I was wondering if anyone had some advice about my habitat. My girl Uma, has a tendency to plop into her tank quite aggressively. I think she has fun doing it, but sometimes she accidentally whacks against the bottom of the tank. I was thinking about different options that I can use to soften the bottom side of the tank where she hits. I don't necessarily want to use aquarium mat because its not very sustainable, and would be frustrating to get wet and get soddened with poo. I was thinking about plants, but Uma does not have the best track record with having plants in her tank. Plastic plants was another thought I have, but I am nervous that they would somehow poison her? I have a friend that put a plastic plant in her fish bowl and her fish died the next day!!!!

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks!

How big is she compared to the tank? My turtles have a lot of space but can sometimes hit the glass if they choose to launch off the basking area. They've never hurt themselves or the tank, but it's not the same for everyone.
