does anyone know the potentional adult size of any of the following ? or think they know?

map turtles, mud& musk turtles, painted turtles, rio urande red river cooters

Muds: 3-4.5 inches

Musks: 4-6 inches (stinkpots max around 6)

Maps:3-13 inches depending on sex & subspecies

Painteds: 3.5- 10 inches, again, depending on sex & subspecies

Cooters: 7-16 inches.

Grr, I was interested in buying another baby turtle (a different type) from another website, called them to find out how big they get and such, and the guy said if you keep them in a smaller tank, w/ a good filter and keep the water level low, (and feed them well) they will not outgrow their environment. That can't be true-right?? :?

nope. And it's dangerous to try. Malnutrition and lack of a proper environment will stunt growth, but the turt won't be healthy and won't live nearly as long.
