Habitat - Indoor :: can i put bamboo in the tank?

i was going to put a ceramic pot of bamboo in the tank. can i? if they eat any of the bamboo is it safe? im pretty sure it is i just want to make sure here

Is it the kind that grows in water? That's not really bamboo, they just call it that because it looks like it and it makes people think it's exotic. Anyway, I read that it is poisonous to cats or something like that, so you'd want to keep your turtles away from it.

its posionous to cats? i have a cat and bamboo for many years and it prolly ate sum at one point.
