I'm not sure but i think i have to much water in my tank. What do you think, i have about 8 inches of water and a 2 inch turt. Do i have to much water.

A 2-inch turt should be able to handle a depth of 8 inches. Make sure he's got a basking area he can get on easily. If you're worried, you could also add a plastic plant for aquariums so he can rest on it.

I made sure he has east access to his basking spot. and the olny reason i have the water so high is my power filter is not long enugh to reach, so until i can get out and buy a longer extention for it.

I remember your filter problem from your post this weekend. :) I have a two-inch painted hatchling in about 10-11 inches of water, and he has no problem with it.

o good then i dont have any thing to worry about if your hatchling is in water deeper then mine. Now that i have my filter working and my turt in a new 20 gal. tank he seems alot happier.

i put a rock in mine for my babies so the can stand in the water and still get there head out and the water is 10 or 11 inches the have a basking platform 2
