Wow that's great! What size tank is it? Is it hard to maintain your basking temp with those netted sides? Can't the turtles climb up the sides because they can get their nails into the small holes?

Its a 75 gallon, Nah I live in an attic turned living area and its always hot up here. They aren't much for climbing and even if they did they wouldnt get past the lip on the wood.

Nice job! What did you use for the ramp? It looks like a piece of plexiglass with grooves in it. Did you make that yourself? That's a good idea.
I also like that automatic feeder, although I like feeding my turtles myself but the feeder is a great idea for when you're away.

yes, i have the same question about what ramp u are using because i have had my above tank basking area in my garage for 3 months but can not be used because there is no ramp.

I don't think he cut grooves into it. It looks like strips of aquarium silicone.

newbie question, do you put plexiglass in the oven for a bit to make it flexible so u can bend the ramp? if so, how long do u heat it for and at what temp? i need to make a new basking platform and am looking at all the great ideas on this board
