story behind moxy

my friend calls me up and says theres a turtle in a kiddie pool knowing that i'm a animal freak i go check it out

the waters brown buggy smelly moxy wasn't even moving till i went to pet him. i went to the front of the house and asked the owner how much do you want for the turtle. he said what turtle then said oh that turtle 100 dollars. i was like yeah alright. i wasn't gonna "take him" unless he wasn't being feed. i asked him and he said he hasn't feed him for a month(wrong thing to say) so i say ok thank you walked into the back yard and took him.i couldn't just leave him.

They are going to get a new tank. we found this one and were going to reseal it and build a wooden basking cage on top

wow..100$ for a RES  , no freaking way, I would have stolen him too. But anyway, i'm not into stealing but I guess in this case, it was the right thing to do, he looks like he has a nice home now :)

BTW, you arent planning to leave the tank outside right? Because glass + water + sun doesnt go together very well. The water can heat up to realy high temperatures and cook your turtles.

Nice one mate and you have two very nice turtles :) .
You might want to edit out the word bas'''d but I agree he is one.

Well, I don't like "stealing", but I am glad you did! Poor thing.

Nice find! You'd want to carefully inspect the tank to make sure there are no leaks or cracks. Leaks are super easy to fix, cracks can be much more difficult. I'd also make sure that it is an aquarium and not a terrarium. Terrariums aren't made to hold water and have thinner glass plates. Yours does look like an aquarium though. If you don't know what was in there previously, use some diluted bleach. Use about 2 oz. of bleach to one gallon of water (to create a solution of approximately 1.5% bleach). Afterward rinse well with clean water repeatedly and air dry for at least 24 hours or longer.

Moxy looks better than what I was expecting. His shell should be able to get better, though only time will tell how much. Once you get everything setup, read the "feeding" section. Both turts look they've grown a bit fast.
