Its my 30 gallon tank i got a new filter system for it. the UVB bulb is about 4 inches from basking area and torque basks all day just about. i raised the basking area with a metal hanger that i "modified" water temp stays at 78 now(i got a heater) and the basking temp is about 86.

im now saving up for a 75 gallon tank its only 120 bucks so i figured why not. then ill get a nice canister filter set-up as well.

Since your turts are little , would be good to put in some plants :)
What kind of filter did you get?

i got the penguin bio-wheel 350.

as for plants petsmart was sold out completely when i went. so i am goingto check back in a couple days.

im thinking of putting some other fish inthere that arent just feeders.....something about the same size as the turte.....im not to worried if the turte eats him just something to add color.

The plants don't have to be live plants, you can use fake ones for them to rest on as well. Small turts need a place to rest/hide etc. The only need for live plants is for food :)

The basking dock doesn't look too sturdy from the angle I see. How are you keeping your dock in place?

the basking dock is held up by some custom hangers.....i took mtal hangers bent and cut to fit. its actually really sturdy.

Looks like it is suspended from wire coat hangers. I would get rid of some (or all) of the gravel...

i just got the gravel i hate the way the tank looks with nothing down there....its just to empty.all of the rocks are larger than his head and hes only going to be in that tank for about 3 months tops so i think he will be ok on not eating them.

Those coke bottles look like ice. :) I'd be careful of those metal hangers--will they rust. Either your turtle is very small or that gravel is fairly large?

yeah i thought about the rust...i figure ill watch it and when it starts to rust ill replace it with a new one. or by then ill have the floating dock i want.

the turtle is a lil fella
