this is my new dock i made out of extra undergravel filter. i made sure it was not too close to the top of the tank. they now all fit on it without sinking. i hada piece of plexigalss across the top of the water level but it was too slippery. this one they love. and it was not very hard to make and does not take up any swimming room.

this is from lots of time spent with my turts. when they are in there tank they love to see me and eat from my hand. they swim up to the glass and follow my hand around. it's funny how attached you get!

I was a bit worried it was real not fake.
Tortoises, when it comes to swimming, are the evolutionary equivalent of submarines.
Not good in water.

sorry for the scare. it was a replacement mommy for our baby turt. they loved sitting on it (her).

my sulcata likes to swim, even if he can't. I have a soaking container in his enclosure and he waddles in it.

nice turtle is the dock dry I can't tell if water is there too gr8 idea,I love the pix of handfeeding.

the dock is dry. it is also at a slant to make it easier to get up on. i can also move the dock up or down as needed.
i love hand feeding!! they will not eat until they have taken a couple from my hand.
