Alright! Woo-hoo. Thanks Sonyj!

That set up looks great. Have they been using the turtle landing? I had never seen one of those until the other day on here.

Very nice setup, do you have a light pointing onto the basking area? I'm sure you do, I just can't see it in the pics :-)

And what kind of filter is that? just curious

and there's that turtle landing :)

I don't see any lights or a water heater. Do you have them?

Nice setup otherwise.. what size tank is that?

Ah, yes. The turtle landing...The one I picked up in Petsmart looked like it would crack easily. (It looks good in the tank, though).

yea i have a water heater but my room seems to keep the water at 78-83 always lol so i dont really use it i have a light also but i usually open the binds so the sun can come in so they get the good natural stuff :D but i do have a light and yes they use the landing all the time everytime i come home i always see them run back into the water

The tank in front of a window is a big no-no. :( The sun is not doing them any good this way because it's filtered (through the glass, screen etc) so they are not getting any of the "good natural stuff". Instead they are possibly getting their tank overheated which can cause illness/death in extreme cases. Water temp should not flucuate, but stay constant. Flucuating will lead to illnesses. You need a UVB bulb and a heat bulb on for 10-12 hours a day over the basking area. Or if weather permits you should take them out side (supervised) for several hours a week for UVB and still have a heat bulb over the basking area.

ok FIXED! haha even tho there are no real spikes in tempture (no real change in water temp max is like 1 - .5 degrees) i live in california so haha it never gets to hot or to cold here :D. but imma invest in a better light bulb ive just been using my old study lamp for heat imma run to the store and get a better one. petsmart hsa the best return policy... haha thx for the help!
