I'm breeding mealworms and roaches which I use both with my res/ybs and my snapper. Plus, in the cabinet I also have a container with earthworms, which are breeding like crazy.

Oatmeal, cereal (the one you eat at breakfast), cat pellets, fish food, sliced potato-carrot. You can find care sheets all over the net, they're really really really easy to breed.
Also roaches have the same diet, mine are blatta lateralis and they're quiet and do not smell bad, as easy as mealworms to look after.

How about earthworms? Do you just have dirt and dried leaves in there?

No, I have soft soil mixed with regular dirt, and holes for ventilation in the container. I spray the surface daily in order to keep it slightly moist. I feed em apple/pear peels, bits of boiled carrots, potato, fish food and eggshell once a week.

Okay thanks for the info. I'm planning to start growing some earthworms too. I caught some in my backyard and Charlie loved them. And since I have two mouths to feed right now, I though it'll be worth breeding them myself.

Is that sand on the bottom? Does it get kicked up and cloud the water? I've been trying to come up with something to put on the bottom of my tank (my turtles are full-grown).

Yes it is sand. It doesn't cloud the water int he slightest, and my turtles dig around alot, sometimes i find spots where you can see the bare glass.
If you're going to use sand, i recommend washing it in a bucket until the water is absolutely crystal clear.

Your setup looks great! I love the natural look. Are any of the plants live?

Are your plants are real? if so, i've heard the "water bamboo" can be hazardous to normal house pets, so I wouldn't trust it in a turtle tank. The turtles will taste pretty much everything in the tank so i bet they'd take a bite at that.
