Meet Carlo...
This is Carlo's home:

20 gallons (soon to be 90!)
I should have more water, but right now his tank is propped up with 2 dictionaries (he'll be well-read!) because the filter couldn't fit on the shelf properly. I move in less than 3 weeks and then he'll have a 90 gallon with lots of water and hopefully more plants, river rocks, etc!
These are Carlo's friends[eventually food]:

rosy-red minnows
This is Carlo:

He's clearly impressed.
Now his shell:
In the water his shell looks fine, except for on two parts where it looks dry. I took him out to take these pictures and noticed his shell is super dark and then his carapace got really dry:

here's his plastron:

Also: when I took him out and started giving him a little belly rub and head rub he stuck his head out and opened his mouth. It was adorable, even if he was trying to bite me.
