Toby's summer (lots of pics!)
It's been a long time since I've posted any pics on this site. I actually took a long break from this site after I got my two dogs and found myself devoted to learning how to best care for them. But now that I've settled into life with dogs, it's back to turtle world!
So here are some recent pics of Toby: (As a disclaimer, yes, Toby has issues with his shell, which I won't go into detail about but I will post an update on once I dig up the pictures I took after his shed.)

I took Toby outside a few times over the summer. Whenever I take him out of the tank I wrap him in a towel so that he doesn't freak out. This time he tried to eat the towel:

I filled up Toby's pool for him once this summer (if my water bill wasn't so insane I'd do it more often). For some reason my female pit bull, Lola, took a big interest in Toby. She seems him everyday in his tank but when I put him in the pool she acted like she had never seen him before. She just sat and watched him swim around:

I also let Toby walk around in the grass for a little while:

And lastly, I picked Toby up to bring him inside and snapped a few more pictures of him...

...And then Lola came along and stuck her nose right in Toby's face. I quickly pulled back and snapped a picture, I just couldn't miss such a priceless moment (No dogs or turtles were harmed in the making of this photograph).
