My turtles were very friendly and social this morning!
So I took some pictures of them being wicked cute.




Stoli like to climb things in weird ways. The basking "rock" has two ramps/stairs. But he does this anyway?

he has a bad alcohol problem. I've been trying to get him to go to AA but he just won't listen. his bad behaviour is starting to influence Jager.

hahahaha yeah. The day I bought them, on the way home we passed a liquor store advertising stoli and jager. So I named them that. I also really like stoli and jager XD

Haha i remember when my RES was this small. Very cute

I'm so used to raising like fish and frogs that I keep expecting them to suddenly be huge. And then I remember that they grow slowly over time. I hope they get less terrified of everything XD

Just the other week i got bit by a almost full grown female. I was taking her out to clean her shell and had her in one hand. Wasnt payin attention and went to reach for the door handle and did not put her away from my body. Before you know it she reached out and snagged me right on my arm that i was using to open the door about half way up. she held on too for like 3 minutes...almost took a big chunk of skin out. it hurt SOOOOO Bad....then...just the other day i was taking some baby rats away from one of my breeders and BOOM the mom got me goooooood. she bit me right on the skin under my thumb before the rist...broke the skin like it was butter. bottom tooth went RIGHT throught.,..could even hear it pop through the skin..was bleeding allllll over the place. but ya, RES can EASILY take off the tip of your finger or even a chunk out of your skin..just think...if one got ya on a artery you could die from a red ear slider bite....scary huh ^^

they already think my finger is food XD they're just too little to hurt my finger, except for one time when stoli latched on to a callous on my pointer finger and i lifted him out of the water. it didn't hurt or break the skin, it was just hilarious.
but yeah once they're bigger i'll really have to be careful. their beak things are sharp!

The heat in my apartment was turned off for a few days, so my turtles (and my room mate and I) were all very cold and immobile. But I called and complained and now it's back and we are warm! The turtles are back to their cute, active selves so I took some pictures.

Aww, they're so adorable! I wish I would have gotten to see my Tomi that small. The previous owners never took pictures of him... well, they never changed his water either! :\
