im gonna assume ur turtles name is rocky and ur goldfishes name is goldie? anyway nice looking tank id suggest a background they rly help a tank to look nice and i also suggest moving up the basking area and adding more water but i like what i see

Basking area is from the old 20 long. Just waiting for my husband to get to his honey do list. He'll have an ATBA with the egg crate floor and ramp and plexi glass sides. I have everything here already just waiting. Goldie used to be tiny now she eats lettuce right along side Rocky.

Are your filters loud with a low water level like that?

Not at all. It's a Rena XP3 canister filter. The water level is above the filter out take. The loud filters are the HOB filters. A lot of people attach something to the outtake of that filter to break the fall of the water.
