My Neighbor has an inground pool and every year a couple of these little guys find their way into it. So yesterday I had to go and get them. Sorry they arent the greatest pics. Camera doesnt work so great in really bright sun. Really neat was the bigger one. He has a very nice orange look to him. First time ive seen a yearling like him. Second time ive seen a wild snapping turtle with a very nice orange variation. Other one was a 7inch snapping turtle with a nice redish shell.

I look at these guys and think Enzio the sponge turtle from the manga Reborn!

I love the underside it looks all cute and chubby, although the big ones are just scary! O_o

Nope those are just common snapping turtle hatchlings. Common snapping turtles start out with very jagged look to their shell that turns smooth by adult.

I will be adding another pic soon. Got another turtle. This time not a snapping turtle :D

oh so they grow the spikes on there tails later on? If im correct the normals have spikey tails and the alligators have spikey shells :D didnt know it was opposite when they were babies.
