Hi everyone
I've been really busy lately, but I'm back now!
The turtles are over a year old now! They are happy and healthy and constantly growing. Even though they were so sick when I first got them they appear to have no residual health defects. Their shells are healed and growing properly, they are active and eating well, and they are very alert! They even like to meet new people. I love my tiny turtles and I am so happy with the progress they’ve made.

I let them roam around a bunch today.

Actually wanted to see for myself what they grow in a year. This does put it in perspective. Thanks and glad to hear your RES's are healthy!

At first you said a year old and they looked so small in the first pictures then I saw the one crawling over your hand and unless you got super small hands then ya they look pretty big haha

I agree with Valladin, they are small for 1year old turtles...or maybe mine is too big.

They might be a bit small. Their shells are both two inches. They grew a bit over half and inch in the last year. Being from Chinatown might have stunted their growth a bit. When I got them, I was unsure if I could nurse them back to health and I really thought one of them was going to die. But they are resilient little guys! But yeah they might have missed out on some growth since they were so sick.

Aww they totally are smiling! I have a weird question based on your pictures- Do your turtles smell your carpet? Maybe it's cause I live in an older apartment but when I let mine out to roam the floor she sniffs the carpet... like obcessively. Because of that I usually only let her play where there's tile flooring.

Ya! Are happy turtles!

They sniff the floor sometimes, but not obsessively. But I clean a lot. I have a lot of severe allergies so I vacuum like every couple days.
