hey my friend is getting these turtles and wants to know if they are rio grandes

Rio Grande sliders have heavier yellow striping on them then RES. A picture of one can be seen here Image

Rio Grandes aren't too difficult to find on the web. You don't often see them in stores though.

The red on Rio Grandes is often much brighter.

hey guys when i pick up those turtles for my friend until she can come get them the picture made them look bigger then they were check it out. They are the size of a quarter

I have a Rio and he is much different than yours. I would say yours is a regular slider.

With the feeding aggression issue you had with your own turtles, you might discourage her from keeping two. It's such a big responsibility, but at least she has a friend who is knowledgeable about turts.
