Added some Melanotaenia lacustri

So since I lost 2 of my Bosemanis in a water change, I was going to get more of them, but my LFS wasn't sure when they would get them in. I've always liked Melanotaenia lacustri so I got two of them instead. It's hard to get pics of these guys but I tried. Most pics are of my Bosemani. At one point, everyone started flaring up due to all the new males. The pictures don't do justice to their true colors (also they're more colorful in the morning, these were taken late afternoon.)

Yes, but it takes a few years to get to that size.

Very nice! Do you find keeping a fully stocked fish tank more complicated than RES keeping?

thats is a huge bass snail...no disrespect but the snail shell looks like a turd. :)

Steve: Yes! Temperature and water chemistry actually matter where as turtles it really doesn't. We act like it does, but it's no where to even close to as sensitive as fish. I also have to add chemicals daily for the plants, and weekly for the water.
