Tide Pooling

Went tide pooling in San Pedro today. Saw the same old stuff except a few cool things here and their.

These guys were everywhere. This is a California Sea Hare. It's their mating season right now, so they're in the shallows. They were all about 6" long.

This was such an awesome find! It was tiny, maybe about 1-1.5" I don't know how I spotted it, but after some research, I've found it to be Navanax inermis. It's a predatory sea slug. They get about 8". This is what an adult looks like:

Saw this Skate at the aquarium and thought it looked funny

Those r some odd looking creatures lol they look like they came outa Pokemon or something ha ha ha especially that last one XD

that thing looks weird as hell! the ocean is like an entirely different alien world its pretty amazing. I have only been to the ocean 2 times (pacific both times) the first time was at least 6-7 years ago but i remember we went and checked out some tidepools. I was amazed at the tidepools, its like a tiny self suficient eco system. Ill have to move closer to the coast someday so i can see stuff like that more often
