So ive finally had the chance to make the skippy filter ! right now it looks kind of Bootleg but ill have it looking a little more decent in a few weeks. for media filter i used lava rocks just becouse its cheap ,later i want to complement it with some sponges well c what happens. its been about a week since i cleaned the pond so im just gunna let the filter take over , im hoping it cleans it for the most part atleast. im using a 330 gph pond pump and i think the plastic container that im using is about 10 or 15 gallons somewhere around there so ive got my fingers crossed and hoping thats big enough, i want to get a UV sterilizer later. anyway phase 1 of the skippy filter project complete

Awesome tank! Cool ferrets too :)

Minimum filter I would go with is a FX5 and it would still be underpowered for it. Two or a custom filter will be more suitable if this will be filled to the top.

awesome for sure.

@steve would the Fx5 work?! i'd think it'd be hard to raise the 200+ gallons ~2 feet.
pond filters? (Beckett... Pondmaster)

Fx5 isnt ment to be kept outside either, thats probably what concerns me the most.

ive been thinking about making a diy filter out of a 55 gallon barrel and a gph pump if that doesnt work out well ill have to just figure out how i can make the 4X5 water proof to keep from getting wet from outside, shouldnt be 2 hard . thnx 4 the input everyone :) ill take pics and updates on how it goes

55 gallon filter would be epic, though the amount of bio media you need to buy would be crazy.

On or two 7 gallon buckets would work just fine. I have a 5 gallon bucket on my 125 G pond that has a pump of 600 GPH.

Towards bottom. Carbon pad has been replaced with activated carbon bag.

The water bins seems to be popular for ponds now. Looks like it'll be great.
