Added sand to his tank today, and got rid of the gravel. He seems to be pretty happy with the change.

If you just added it today it seems to have cleared up very fast. Looks good, nice job.

I give him like one, two pelets at most a day. I'm pretty sure some of that was before I got him.

He doesn't eat the fern. He's been munching on some red leaf the last couple days.

Lucky. I had to start a separate planted tank for mine as he munches down everything in site.

I thought it might be a problem when I added him (the plants were there first). But, he's never tried to eat them. He ripped up the roots a little bit, but even that has stopped. He slowly munches on lettuce, but that's it for green stuff.

Have you tried any carrot / other non green veggies?
