Some pictures of my 55 gallon, 30 gal fluval filter and 40 gal under gravel filter with air intake heads cut down (to fit under water level) some drift wood pieces and what's left of my java fern and anacharis. Oh and my 3 happy RES
http://imgur.com/WDg0Hhttp://imgur.com/v3y9Jhttp://imgur.com/eoSahThe rocks are big enough that they don't try to eat them
And the waters a bit yellow from the last piece of drift wood, I guess I didn't let it soak enough.

Looks good, though they could definitely eat those. Plus, they trap a lot of debris, so it's not helping with your water quality. I would add some more water and pick up a light stand for those lights.

There's actually a filter under the gravel pushing water up through it so there isn't any debris getting trapped. I thought it out before I put it in there

He can just use a snake to get whatever debris the filter doesn't pick up. If you're having no issues with the turtles eating the gravel, that's cool. I'd just be careful, keep a good eye on him, and if you notice he is eating them, then I'd suggest a change.

Yeah, I've been keeping a very close eye on them, they dig through it but never find anything worth trying to eat. ( because the filter is there

)
