You know what else i noticed about soft shells that i cant see on my baby yet, they have HUGE claws like a snapping turtle and have super sharp nails. there jaws snap like a snapping turtle too. are they near the same sub species of a snapping turtle?

I do not believe snapping turtles and soft shelled turtles are that closely related. I'm pretty sure they branch off high up the turtle branches of the family tree. Soft shell turtles grow very large and are also very fast on land.

yeah this guy is SUPER Fast in water. Like 10000 times faster then my RES any day. They are great hiders too when you have sand in there. even at that size i have to look around for a minute if the turtle is in the right spots. What other turtles have teeth like these guys? I never knew a turtle could even have teeth like that. This turtle litterally has human like teeth that are super sharp..crazy

Shes currently with my other turtles and seems to be doing great. She dont bask at all tho and seems to be eating my turtle pellets well. Someone told me the canalls and lakes r filled with them around here along with snappers and i seen at least two baby snappers when i was fishing,
