yea there are a couple freshwater "sharks" but really they are not like my retailed shark hes just a type of catfish

fish may not be best for the water quality but then you should be keeping an eye on that anyway. Turtles are much dirtier than fish are. The problem with fish is that they are too high in protien which is not good for your turtles health.
FYI, Anything to eliminates waste into the water will cause ammonia in the tank.

does anyone else keep fish with their res? those little shark fish would be neat to have with the turtles...i just wouldn't want them to get eaten. i don't think my map turtle would bother them, but i think my res would.
