If I had to guess I'd say female but he/she may still be too small.

I would guess female also, based on the short nails.
I had a 4 inch RES a long time ago & by that time, he was definitely male, with very long nails & long thick tail.

My turts aren't even 4 inches yet and their nails look longer than George's!

New mom - cute name for your turtle - I am now thinking -although my other turt is just 3 inches I may just have 2 females.

Could be Georgia...like Georgia O'Keefe. She's an artist for those who don't know, but you would probably recognize some of her work. I think they turned some of her work into stamps a few years ago, but not sure.

You know Knuckles from the Sonic the Hedgehog cartoon? Well, you may not, unless you have kids. Anyhow, thats where he got it from. He is a Sonic freak.

LOL yes I have 3 kids and my oldest is a Sonic freak from the time he could hold a controler and he is 17 yrs old now -
I guess Cam and Miss are right I have a Georgia or Georgina
I really appreciate the help - one more inch to go and I will post pics of my other turt. Have to see if we are right on that one or not.
