Thats so cute Andrew - Mine have that "Feed Me" look all of the time now- well one does and when I go to feed them the other gets the "Me Too, Me Too" look on his face. I will hand feed mine as long as I can - but they sometimes try to eat my fingernails -because they are always such a bright color-you'd think they would go -oh well -Cant eat that-but keep trying LOL

Yeah I started hand feeding Mr. Turtle fruit recently. However, I know what it feels like to have your finger bitten by an RES, so i'm a little paranoid about it! Plus he gets overly excited when I do so he tends to jump up to bite it rather than just let me give it to him. So, I always make sure to cut the grapes/strawberries like long matchsticks. That way my fingers are as far away from his mouth as possible! LOL

Just put the food on a baby spoon & let them eat off the spoon! It's adorable. I have been doing this with my RES for years with a lot of success since she is a BIG girl & has gotten ahold of me a few times! Ouch!!! I learned.......
