Thanksss, glad everyone likes it :}

I was originally planning to paint it from life, but holding up a heavy full grown female RES really takes a toll on your arms, not to mention the turtle was trying to kick itself free after a couple minutes. so in the end, it was painted from a photograph.

Her huge RES has grown even more recently! This painting was done about a year or so ago, i believe her shell is over 12" now.
