Here are a few random pics of Sheba that I took recently. The first one she has her toe in the water as she basks which I thought was really cute. Notice the discoloration on her shell.....that is just from hard water & totally normal for her (good thing is that at least I always know she gets enough calcium between the water & the added calcium blocks, LOL). She will eventually peel, revealing a brand new bright brown/coppery shell color.

Also, per all the suggestions on this board, I picked up some rocks for her tank, thoroughly cleaned them, and added them for her to do her own "decorating." So far, all she has tried to do is eat them, but at least she has something else to play with, LOL.

Hey, I have that same basking ramp! How do you like it?

Do you point the light at the top level or the bottom one?

Nice tank btw

Thanks! Her shell is 11 inches long, about 5.5 inches wide, & about 3.5 inches thick.

Thanks! It is a fairly nice ramp, big enough for Sheba to actually turn around on it. She is so heavy that sometimes it slides down the glass a bit & then I have to readjust the height. The ramp tends to tip down into the water if she sits on the "higher" portion of the ramp. It's not a perfect solution, but it does allow her to bask & dry off so I can't really complain.

I point the light at the bottom area of the ramp since it is a bigger area.

Thanks! As big as she is, Sheba is a real charmer with a very sweet personality. It's hard not to give her treats. This week she has conned me out of a bunch of fresh blueberries already....! Yeesh. They are her *favorite* treat.
