Ok, so i will start off with the plants, and how i got them to stick. What i did was i bought a package of Tetra fake plants with the easy connect base. I took the plastic out and it looked like this first two pictures. I just found a suction cup that would fit it snugly at a hardware store, and i had the match.

Mary Kate basking right under the light in the fake plants while i was cleaning. And ashley was so nice to come out and say hello.

Mary Kate again, basking, looking so relaxed

This is what the setup looks like.

notice the plants on each end, and the spray bar is now facing backwards angainst the back glass.

This is Ashley hiding in the Boes cup. She looked oh so cute. And she even plays peek-a-boo...

Two big stretches out of Mary Kate

Stacking, This is their new favorite thing to do. They even take turns who is on top and who is on bottom.
Mary Kate on bottom, Ashley on top.
Image
Ashley on top, Mary Kate on bottom. Look at the size difference. I wonder if Ashley is a girl, and Mary Kate will be a boy?
Image

If it does turn out to be one of each sex... i have to ask now, Do i need to give them the talk
Image

So, for now i think i only need a few things, other then that they are doing great. Opinions are always welcome.

What adorable little babies! They look very healthy and alert. Your tank looks very nice too I think.

Oh my gosh, they are so sweet with their little green shells & tiny striped hands! Love the set up. After seeing all the pics of peoples' set ups around here, I see that my tank would be greatly enhanced with one of those background posters on the back of the tank.

A nice, colorful set-up and very nice pics. I like the one of Ashley in the Bose cup---she looks like she's planning her escape and has an eye out for when the time is right. :)

Of course i will marisa, cant have a turtle on the loose. Right now there is a good extra foot of space before they could get out. So i'm all set for now, i think soon though i will be looking into an external basking area..

Thank you for the compliments. The girls keep me happy! When i'm not worrying i'm smiling.

xsaving - Look into putting a little hot glue in the bottom of the plant, so when you push it on the suction cup, it will stick, all but one of mine stick currently, and the one that dosent will get the glue soon.

Thank you everyone for your compliments!!! I hope to make it to the beach to try to get some more rocks, a little smaller in size, but the rocks will be smooth from the weathering.

Also, cpr - i love the stacked pics too, my favorite one is the last one where you can see the lines down their arms and legs, i do enjoy my turts.

Thats a great tank set up! I love the suction cup plants, I have a few for Leo and he loves hiding in them.
Do you keep the glass thermometer on the perch all the time? Because I was just thinking it might be safer not to, and it would give MK and Ashley more room to bask :-). Other than that though I'm jealous of how put together your tank is, I feel like Leo is missing out with no backing on his tank haha.
