Just signed up here and thought I'd share a pic of my lone male.
He has no name (never would come when I call anyways) and is
approximately 18 yrs old wih a 6" long shell.

OK your turtle is just amazingly smart. When I saw that video you put up of Sheba walking to you when you called her my jaw dropped. My turt would never do that. She will look at me and then walk the other way!

Thanks! She's my baby. Of course, I have worked with male turts in the past, and they tend to be a little harder to train. They are more aggressive and tend to bite more. But having said that, when I had my male (Nelson), he was starting to exhibit some of the same "following me around the house" behaviors as Sheba did. But because Sheba & Nelson fought like cats & dogs, I had to give him away.

Just carry some little pieces of tuna around with you. Lead them around with the food! I am convinced that you can train your kid too! :)

My 2 turtles dont have names either, theyre just "big turtle" and "little turtle" the way i figure it, if a names comes to me and sounds good, ill go with it, but until then, theyre big and little.
