Shreyas, is your turtle pretty small? Most of the turtles are not that fond of vegetables until they grow up. Then they can't get enough of them.

I didn't know that RES normally didn't like veggies until they were older... Leo chows down on his romaine... I'm pretty sure he may even like it better then his pellets but then again he's also the biggest pig of all my animals so *shrugs* lol Very cute pictures!! It really does look like she is looking up at the camera and smirking in that one picture!! :D

Glad to hear that your turt is enjoying her lettuce!

For Shreyas, here is how I got my turt to eat veggies. Sometimes you just gotta get a little bit creative. Read down the thread because there are updates as you go down:

Don't avoid giving pellets totally---your turtle needs some of the nutrients they provide that can't be found in veggies alone. The duckweed is good to have in the tank (nutritious). :)

Shreyas, Here's what i did for the veggies she didnt like. I mixed ithe veggies with unflavored gelatin, a little bit of water and Tuna water. I cut it into little cubes and she liked it soooo much. Now, she recognized the taste of that veggie even without the gelatin. Try it, it's just easy to prepare. I used the Knox unflavored gelatin.
