Today I got both turtles out of their tanks and let them wander around. Slowpoke was pretty much indifferent but Napoleon was pretty intent on going after him. I kept putting myself between them and wound up getting climbed on a lot. I got them settled down enough to take this picture, but you can pretty much see the tension. Napoleon's like 'Who the hell do you think you are coming into my house?!' and Slowpoke's like, 'Who? Me?' Napoleon will be happy when Slowpoke moves to Michael's place, which should be next week sometime. Anyway, here's our family portrait (I want one with Michael in it too, we'll see if he lets me take it)

He most certainly does!

I forgot to specify, Napoleon is on the left and Slowpoke is on the right!

Starchick, you are so cute with your turtle-babies!

Napolean looks really feisty....I'm sure he can be a real handful (no pun intended!).

Thanks for sharing!

The one on the left (in your right hand) looks like he's spoiling for a fight. :)

Hahah guess what? Tonight we let Napoleon out again and he went over to Slowpoke's tank like he wanted to fight, all tough. He stood up on all fours and started stomping around like a sumo wrestler, trying to look bigger! It was hilarious! So they chased each other around and snapped at the glass, mainly with Napoleon being aggressive and Slowpoke not really caring, but then Slowpoke got mad and fluttered at him, and Napoleon jumped back and ran away! Then he kept acting all tough when Slowpoke's back was turned, but as soon as Slowpoke looked at him he would back off and try to go around to the other side. Poor Napoleon and his pride, he faced down a shy turtle in a tank and lost ;) I think he'll get over it, so long as he doesn't have to see him he doesn't seem too upset.

That is really funny! I wish there were a video! My turtles are in the process of one fluttering, and the other completey ignoring him, or occasionally backing him down. It's so funny to see all the bravado come to naught when the object of the fluttering is totally unimpressed.
