I recently took a pic of Serra's belly to send to someone to see if they can identify what kind of turt she is, so I'll just post it up here...

Thanks! Mel wanted in on the action, fancies himself a turtle sometimes. Unfortunately we only have one of the three babies left, along with our Lou. One baby escaped the pond one windy day a limb fell in and she climbed out and disappeared(which is why we put up a screen contraption over the pond which you can see in teh outdoor habitat section under out of hibernation post), and a second baby we found dead one morning, no clue how it happened. We were very sad. The third is still here and about 4 inches and of course Lou at 9 inches 8 years old.

Man, that would make me so sad if Tobi ran away or got out somehow! Glad you got a screen on your habitat now tho!

We were very sad, not knowing where she went, we searched for 2 weeks all over the neighborhood. Had a burial for the other one,
. Yeah as sooon as she escaped we did that covering. We had just bought the house and didnt know about all the limb falling problems when we put in the pond. But they have been happy and safe since last july.
