Myrtles fist trip outside...

Yeah, I'm dying to but it hasn't gotten warm enough yet! We had one day that was nearly 70, and I set Napoleon up on the windowsill (which is about 14 inches deep and was half sun half shadow at that time) and he basked in the real sunshine for a good 20 minutes! It was so nice, I just sat and read my book and he stretched out and watched me.

It's so good to see a turtle in the great out of doors! How did Myrtle react when she first saw the sun and grass and everything?

Thats really cool! I can't wait until summer (we're just going into winter here) so I can take george out for a play in the yard.

She didn't quite know what to make out of it. She kind of just sat there. Then she moved towards me and then expolored else where. In the garden! :roll:

It was really fun though. I didn't know a turtle that small could move that fast in the grass!

That really struck me as well. For being aquatic animals, they can MOVE on land.
