I took a pic of my turtle which I could not resist showing. I was just a little annoyed when I took it because I thought the flash was off, it did not seem to bother her. I hope it does not cause any problems for her, well aleast I think it ia a SHE.

Yes she is a REs, I like her shell more than my other turtle, slightly pyramiding but I've already started takng care of the problem.

The orange colors acually were much more brighter, but over the past year, they are fading and a greener color is emerging. I actually thought she was sick originally because of a very different shell.

I suppose she's some sort of semi-albino.

Yea, that's what I was thinking too, SpotsMama. If it were a genetic trait that could be consistently bred, you could produce a "sunset" morph of RES turtles. But then there's the issue of all the normal babies and there's too many of those in the market already.

I love that shell. Ricochet looks a little like that anymore. he used to be green as a leaf. now he is brown and speckled.
