This is my lake after it rained. It has lots of turtles I also have frogs and snakes. One time a 18" snapper came 1 foot away from me with a leppard frog hanging out of its mouth.

Nice pictures. How lucky to be so near the water like that. What are the plants in the water--water lilies? If so, I'm surprised they're not blooming.

Who needs a tank? You've got a little turtle paradise right in your backyard.

Ahhhh! The very best place to live is on a lake. I grew up on a lake and my memories of playing around it are some of the best in my life. I think I'm trying to recreate that feeling with the pond we've built in our back yard.

Do you fish out there?

No because it dried up a long time ago and they all died.

So it's not very deep?

Its about 12 feet at the deepist its about 4 feet to 6 feet in the rest of it. It is just that that summer it did not rain at all and if it did it was very little rainfall.
