eating rocks?

after feeding our 2 RES, toto starts looking through the rocks...i guess he's looking for more food. i've seen him put the rocks in his mouth a few times, but he spits them back out. does he know it's not food? i'm afraid he'll swallow one =(

Take them out. If he's trying to eat them, chances are he's already eaten a few. if they get impacted(he can't poop them out) they can cause serious problems, even death. You can put larger river rocks in there to cover up the bottom.
Nothing in the tank should be smaller than the size of his head.
