So what do you love most about your turtle
What makes you wanna just hug them soo hard
I love Tito's black beedy eyes, how they twinkle and glow in the light when hes silently begging me for food
I also like how if i put my hand in the water
and i dont look
You can feel like hands holding on to it confusily staring at me thinking
"wheres my food"
How about yall?

Serra's boldness and her friendliness and her "I don't take no crap from nobody" attitude

I love how Spot is so friendly and interactive. He makes great eye contact and is very responsive to people. He's bold too, actually rather bossy.
I also love how exotic he is at times, like when he's basking and spreading out those huge back feet to catch the sun. All his stripes and colors are just wild. And how cool is a shell!

I always thought that Spot was the only turtle that does the superman move
Like his trademark
But Tito started doing that so i was like YAY
I just wanted to shine some light on how many different personalities turtles have and how cute and fun they can be

I love how they have different personalities. Fred is a grumpy little dude and Ethel is outgoing and will swim into my hand at feeding time.
They both do the superman move, but Ethel will constantly try to bask on top of Fred, and he will walk around the basking platform while Ethel holds on and actually balances up there while he's moving.

I love Spike's huntress nature, and her fearless curiousity. I love Sparky's brave moments of recognition, when he realizes it's me, and not a hungry raccoon. I also think that both have beautiful eyes, shells, and faces.

I like how Napoleon is always so excited to see me, and how smart he is about climbing things and navigating the floor. I like how sweet Hercules is, he's not terribly bright but he's a good boy, not too much seems to upset him anymore. And Apollo is just funny, he's sort of suspicious and sneaky, although he's been bolder in the last few weeks.

Sheba's LAZINESS. She sits up on her dock, under the lamp, and naps with her legs out behind her. She pays no attention to me & I can walk right up to her when she is basking. She honestly doesn't care...! I swear if she was less stressed, she would be sleeping 24/7.

I love Mikey is such a dork

Like me I guess. He knows there is a ramp on his dock, but he prefers to struggle by crawling up the side. He does the superman quite often, but only with one leg, never two. Plus, how lazy he is, he has all these fish and plants he can eat, but he'll just sit and wait for me to feed him. And I really love how he bobs his head when he's falling asleep. And when Will is at his desk (next to the tank) during Mikey's nap time, Mikey will close one eye and watch Will with his other one.

I love when Napoleon and Jebediah play in the water. I'm not sure if any one else's turtles do this, but there are splash marks everywhere along the top part of my tank because they'll go to the top of the water and just splash around like crazy. Sometimes it's for attention or food, but sometimes I'll just hear them doing it from the other room.
So cute.

I love how they both follow me when I go by there tank and crawl all over me when I take them out and sit with them. Now that I've read lots of posts about ppl's turtles being aggressive towards each other I love that they both have lived 9 years together without fighting. I do really think they would miss each other because Donnie wouldn't have Mikey to bask on. ^-^

There's so much I love about my turtles, and they all have such different personalities. Good question, Safdar! I love just watching them be turtles, with their different personalities shining through in whatever they're doing.
With Rigby, I love her dignified manner, from basking with her head held high and legs all stretched out, to swimming and watching the fish frolick through the water with an air of disdain. It all changes, however, when she sees me coming with food in my hand. She doesn't get all hyper like the babies, but she will swim eagerly over to me, and her expression, if you will, changes to excitment, and there's no dignified air when she's gobbling her food up like a pig! As soon as the food is gone though, back she goes to swimming, confident that she is ruler of the pond. And when I start laughing about that, she'll give me a look of, "Me? Excited about food? No...you must be mistaken. You don't have any more peaches though, by chance?"
I love Apolo's energy. I swear his shell is the only thing keeping his energy from bursting forth in every direction possible! The only time I see him keeping still is when he and Wedge are basking together, and that's mainly because Wedge rests ontop of Apolo, preventing him from moving. He would be the wild-haired, punk-rock listening personality of the two babies. He is very brash, and curious as heck about everything and anything. Caution is defnitely not a word in his vocabulary.
And Wedge, I love his wide-eyed view of the world. He reminds me of a nervous schoolboy who's afraid to break the rules. Of the two babies, he'd be the nerd with tape-patched glasses. He has that curious but nervous/wary way of going about things, and the only reason he's the one sitting ontop of Apolo while basking is because he can then be the first one back into the water at the slightest sign of "danger". He likes to hang out by himself under their "cave", but if Apolo is gone from his sight too long he always swims out to find him.
Ugh, I really could get into a whole dissertation about why I love my turtles and their different personalities, but I know there are other things I should be doing other than delving into my love for turtles. I love hearing about why everyone else loves their turtles!
