Well after slowly introducing the 2 babies to my big res I decided to let them move in with him. I was really scared that Puff (big guy) would try to snap at the lil ones.... im having the opposite situation in the tank now lol, Itty has taken a liking to chasing Puff around the tank and trying to bite him :O Mind you a 1.5ish inch turt aint gonna do much to a 5 inch one but it cracks me up to watch this lil guy try to become alpha in the tank :) ill post pics soon when my camera comes back. So far Puff just swats him when he gets too in his face, this sends Itty across the tank in a not so graceful fashion, i really should tape it :D

keep a really close eye on them. The lil guys can get hurt even if there's no intent from the big one. I've heard of someone's lil turt that got squished to death when the big one sat on top of it to bask.

But what happens when you're not there to watch them? When you're sleeping, if you have to leave the house...

hehe flutter i thought same thing while back so basically they moved back into their home for sleep time, anytime im in area (alot of time) ill put them in with Puff, may also use small tank as feeding area to keep big tank cleaner.

Rethink about keeping hatchlings with a larger RES even if you are watching over them.
