Okay soo Rusty has been acting really strange lately. Example I would put my hand in the tank and practically touch his pinchers and he wouldn't move or freak out or anything! Also he was climbing on the plants and getting out of the water..

Then when I left for work I get a text message from my boyfriend that said Rusty was out of the tank and walking towards the door!! My boyfriend said when he picked Rusty up he was super docile and lethargic. So, yeah now he's hanging out in his cave not moving very much. At least today when I try to grab him he's back to being cranky. That's good I guess we were getting super nervous. I guess the Captain pushed Rusty over board because he didn't clean her poop correctly... The captain doesn't allow any goofin off on her ship..

Your turtles will eat crayfish. That's probably the reason he's so unresponsive and lethargic. I'd imagine the turtles pick at him all day. If you'd like to keep him healthy and alive, I'd suggest giving him his own tank.

Your turtles will eat crayfish. That's probably the reason he's so unresponsive and lethargic. I'd imagine the turtles pick at him all day. If you'd like to keep him healthy and alive, I'd suggest giving him his own tank.

Hahaha!! The Captain eat Rusty?! First off, Rusty is bigger in size than Captain Pockets. Secondly, The Captain sticks her nose up to a bug. She only eats the finest pellets, richest carrots, and freshest greens.

Get a new tank for Rusty?! He's on the POOPdeck crew for a reason.. His job is to EAT Captain Pockets and Smee's poop... I find Rusty's crabbiness laughable. Besides, Rusty is just an underwater cockroach.

Size will only be a temporary deterrent for some turtles. Turtles can be extremely aggressive and opportunistic, it's only a matter of time.

Ha...your posts always make me laugh! I had a little fiddler crab for a while in my old aquarium. He was always sneaking up the filter intake tube and hopping out of the tank. We would find him scuttling across the living room floor thinking he was home free and heading for the wide blue ocean!

thats cause fiddler crabs arn't aquatic. they spend their time on land, not underwater. it was probably drowning :/

maybe rusty is sick. when anything is lethargic its a good sign of illness.

Rusty's back to normal it was just that one day.. I don't know Pongo is four years old and she's not interested in any fish or anything.. Honestly I believe that Pongo is different from any turtle ever. She only eats pellets and blueberries... Seriously.. It's super hard to get her to eat anything else..

O_O Tricked by the Petsmart employees again!!! And I didn't know any better then either...no wonder my poor crab didn't like it in the aquarium!
